Lost Kentucky Flag Returns

by

Its a great story. A piece dhistoire painstakingly recreated by several people with an eye for detail. With only a very small drawing survivor (3 “long) dun local artist, David Stahl, and Laura Davis, a senior at school secondary Monroe built six or seven feet replica of the Commonwealth of origin of the Kentucky flag. Monroenews.com – Inform County Monroe, Michigan, for over 180 years

just like the original version did during the War of 1812. The flag for the Commonwealth of Kentucky had been captured by the British at the Battle of the River Raisin and taken back to home as a trophy of war of 1812. Unfortunately, the flag tattered rotten, leaving no trace for historians to follow. Fortunately, a couple of drawings were made of the flag which clearly showed a brown eagle with white head and the beak yellow on a white background and chamois. On his chest is a shield bearing an odd version of the layer constables of the United States. Talon left Laigle holds three arrows while the right heel has a staff surmounted dune fine hat or red cap of liberty. On it are nine brown stars and a banner bearing the slogan Kentucky “United We Stand.”
